Theological Notebook--Watching the Vigil over John Paul II

It really is trying watching some of the coverage of John Paul's dying: instead of speaking to Catholics or theologians, necessarily, at times I'm watching the press simply interviewing well-known pundits and other media figures. Dare I quote Someone about the blind leading the blind? I had to tolerate Pat Buchanan on MSNBC, who clearly had no idea what he was talking about.

Listening to American media figures who really believe that the world splits into two categories called "conservative" (which means "bad") and "liberal" (which means "good") (using the two terms is called "analysis") will eventually be the death of me. Come, aneurysm, come.
