Woke to early morning snow – our first snow on the ground for this year – just before the campus plows made it through. Nice moment. I thought from the sound when I awoke that it was raining, so it was a bit of a surprise to look out the window into the dark. Going to watch the muted sunrise and see if that can conjure any pretty. I'm tempted to zip downstairs to Starbucks and grab some hot chocolate, but I think I might miss the show. So I'll sit at the couch with the dissertation, and try to remember to look up frequently. After just about all my social plans falling through last week, I've got dinner with Diane tonight: I hope we don't get any further curve ball from the weather.
