Theological Notebook: Lonergan on Education

The educationalist has to be, not just a [person] who has read extracts from the philosophers who happen to have said something about education but a full philosopher, and indeed a philosopher of the most daring and thorough-going kind, the kind [who] uses [one's] philosophy to settle the state of our schools, colleges, universities and to exert the profoundest type of influence on the mentality, ideals, and spirit of the future of our nation.
