Theological Notebook: Benedict Day 2, pt. 1

Articles on the challenge of European religious apathy for Benedict, on an invitation to the Rabbi of Rome to attend the installation Mass, on the lack of a strong Latin American showing in the conclave (although note is made of a strong movement toward Martini, who refused), on keeping the current Curia intact, on old neighbours fixing up the Ratzinger childhood home, and a sad--if almost at times farcical in the depth of its clichés--article on the youth of Europe and their particular apathy toward "religion" and "out-of-date dogma." (Although I noted a lack of description of what the current, hip and fashionable dogma was....)
