Musical: Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad

Langers and I took in a show by Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad playing a great set at a small venue at Granger Fest in Granger, Indiana. We got to set up a blanket at just the perfect distance from the stage and speakers and let the music wash over us.

Well Marks show was much better than last year at Toledo. Partly due to a
real small crowd, maybe 150 people and there was not any alcohol so the
crowd was in good behavior!

The band is much better this year. Mark looked great in his red vest and
black pants with sparkle down the legs. They came out as a trio and then
were joined by the rest of the band after Are You Ready.

I still got chills from Mean Mistreater. I'm Your Captain/Closer To Home sounded
wonderful. This was a very up close and personal show. Mark played the whole
set and was having a great time.

I know this was not GFR, but what a way to spend our evening five miles from
home. And with this being a hometown festival the cost was $5 to get in and
$1 for a chair.

As we were leaving the road took us behind the carnival rides, and what did
I hear, We're An American Band was being blasted by the ferris wheel sound
system. Kind of Ironic.
