Theological Notebook: Introduction to Benedict XVI

I realized the other day that I've never actually read anything by Ratzinger; that is, any of his books. I've read articles of his and various documents put out by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith that were presumably by him, but I'd never read one of his books, which are, of course, a craft of a different sort. So, with its high reputation, I've started reading his Introduction to Christianity over meals. I'm not that far into it, but so far I have to say that I am impressed with his style (granted, as viewed through translation) and with his ability to move clearly to the heart of a problem. It will be interest to proceed. And interesting to see what's coming forth in his new role: apparently he's been writing while on vacation.
